Jerusalem - Arab Today
An Israeli soldier was stabbed during clashes near the West Bank city of Hebron on Tuesday and the alleged assailant shot dead, the military and medics said, the latest such attack in nearly three weeks of unrest.
The stabbing occurred around Beit Awwa in the southern West Bank. Clashes had also erupted earlier in the day in nearby Hebron as Israeli troops destroyed the home of a Palestinian jailed for a deadly knife attack last year.
Israel's military confirmed the stabbing "during a violent riot," while medics said the alleged attacker had died after being shot.
