A prominent Spanish-Colombian journalist who went missing last weekend and according to Colombia's government was kidnapped by leftist rebels has been freed, a Catholic archbishop said Friday.
The correspondent, Salud Hernandez-Mora, "was handed over and is free at this very moment," Gabriel Villa, the archbishop of Ocana, told television channel Caracol, after the government accused the communist guerrillas of the National Liberation Army of abducting her.
