The assassination of the North Korean leader's half brother in Malaysia, if confirmed, is an illustration of the brutality of the regime, South Korea's leader said Wednesday.

"If confirmed, the murder of Kim Jong-Nam would be an example that shows the brutality and inhumane nature of the North Korean regime," acting leader Hwang Kyo-Ahn told a meeting of top security officials, according to his spokesman.
