US President Barack Obama and Vladimir Putin of Russia huddled Sunday for informal talks around a coffee table, live television images showed on Turkish state television.

The two leaders sat on opposite sides of a small, low table along with a translator and one other official, leaning forward and gesturing in animated discussion on the sidelines of a Group of 20 summit in the Turkish Mediterranean resort of Antalya.
