Pope Francis landed in Kenya's capital Nairobi Wednesday on the first leg of a landmark trip to Africa, with choirs and dancers waiting to greet him, an AFP reporter said.

Francis will also visit Uganda and troubled Central African Republic (CAR) on his six-day trip.
