President Petro Poroshenko

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said Friday that Russia still has "plenty of work to do" before economic sanctions are lifted over its role in the conflict in his country.

"The sanctions are an instrument of pressure on Russia to make sure it respects its commitments. We went through each clause of the Minsk accords, and I can say that Russia still has plenty of work to do," he said after a summit in Paris.
