Pro-Ankara Syrian rebels on Wednesday seized a village inside Syria from Islamic State (IS) jihadists as part of the Turkey-led operation against the extremist group, Turkish state media said.
The Syrian fighters took the village Keklijah five kilometres (three miles) west of the IS-held main regional town of Jarabulus and three kilometres (two miles) inside the border, Anadolu agency said, in the first reported military success of the operation launched before dawn.
