The Saudi royal family provided the $681 million "donation" to Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak that has enveloped him in scandal, his attorney general said on Tuesday.

Attorney General Mohamed Apandi Ali also said he was "satisfied that no criminal offence had been committed", apparently absolving Najib of explosive allegations of graft in the case.
