Shots were fired on Wednesday in front of the Israeli embassy in the Turkish capital Ankara, the NTV and CNN-Turk television channels reported.

NTV said that two people tried to enter the well-defended embassy but one was "neutralised", without specifying if the person had been wounded or killed. Employees of the embassy took refuge in a shelter, it added.
