South Korea's embattled president Park Geun-Hye replaced her prime minister on Wednesday, in her latest bid to contain a damaging political scandal.

Presidential spokesman Jung Youn-Kuk said Premier Hwang Kyo-Ahn had been replaced "in connection with the current situation".
