Turkey PM says three dead in attack in southeast, blames PKK

A car bomb that hit Turkey's mainly Kurdish southeast on Wednesday left three people dead and injured 30 others, the prime minister said, blaming Kurdish militants for the attack.

"One police officer and two citizens have been confirmed dead so far" in the attack that rocked the main police station in the town of Midyat near the Syrian border, Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said in televised comments.

He blamed the attack on the "killer PKK", referring to the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party.
