Turkey's Erdogan sends letter to Putin for Russia national day

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan sent a letter to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin marking Russia's national day, in the first contact between the two strongmen in months since Ankara downed a Russian warplane, an official said Tuesday.
