Beijing and Tokyo should "put aside disruptions" in their relationship, Chinese President Xi Jinping told Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe after a G20 summit in Hangzhou on Monday, Chinese state media reported.

Ties between the Asian giants should return to normal development, the official news agency Xinhua quoted Xi as saying, in the pair's first meeting for over a year.
