China's exports fell 6.2 percent year-on-year to 1.08 trillion yuan (about $174 billion), official customs data showed Friday, a further sign of weakness in the world's second-largest economy.
Imports plunged 16.1 percent to 873.9 billion yuan, as the country's trade surplus surged by 85.2 percent to 210.2 billion yuan, China's customs authority said in a statement posted online.
