China is to invest $50 billion in Brazil in a massive wave of infrastructure investment, the Brazilian government announced Thursday, the eve of an official visit by Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang.
"There are $50 billion in new projects. We shall have to await the end of the visit to expand upon which projects," Foreign Ministry Undersecretary of State with special responsibility for Asia and Oceania, Jose Graca Lima, said.
