European Commission chief Jean-Claude Juncker said Friday he hoped that a stalled EU free-trade deal with Canada can be struck in the coming days.

"I hope we can see an agreed settlement in a few days," Juncker told a press conference as a Belgian regional government still rejected the deal with Canada, which requires unanimous support from the 28-nation EU.
