Greece is ready to make "counter-proposals" on a deal to unlock vital bailout funds, the government in Athens said on Friday.

Its statement said representatives of Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras would make the proposals on Saturday in Brussels, as European officials began discussing the possibility of a default.
