A long-delayed trading link between the Chinese city of Shenzhen and Hong Kong launched Monday, opening another door to the mainland's cosseted stock markets.

Hong Kong's leader Leung Chun-ying described the launch as "another milestone" in deepening mutual market access between the semi-autonomous city and mainland China.
