Business confidence among Japan's largest manufacturers picked up in the last quarter, posting the first rebound in more than a year, a key central bank survey showed Wednesday.

The reading for big manufacturers' sentiment came in at 10, up from six in the September Tankan report, the Bank of Japan said. A positive figure means companies are on average optimistic.
