Saudi Arabia on Thursday expressed "disbelief" at foreign criticism of the 1,000-lash sentence which the kingdom's highest court upheld against a blogger.

The kingdom "has expressed strong disbelief and condemnation" at the statements made about the case of Raif Badawi, the Saudi Press Agency said, citing an official source at the ministry of foreign affairs.
