Russian President Vladimir Putin said Saturday a compromise found on the issue of climate change that divided US leader Donald Trump from other world leaders at the G20 summit is "optimal".

"One of the very important subjects was climate change. And here, the German presidency managed to find an optimal compromise," said Putin.
