Jeans donated by Victoria Beckham, Julio Iglesias, Jad Choueri, Eva Longoria and Samira Said will go under the hammer — all hand-painted by international fashion designer Johny Dar. Profits from the auction will be donated to the International Rescue Committee’s initiatives supporting refugees worldwide.
The celebrity studded gala event will take place at the ART Rotana Hotel on July 1. Guests will enjoy live performances from Jad Choueri and others as well as live auction action making this a night in Bahrain to remember. Participants will have the chance to show their support for refugees in the region by bidding for a special selection of “Jeans For Refugees” donated by international superstars and special guest celebrities.
Founded in 2016 by internationally acclaimed artist and designer Johny Dar, “Jeans For Refugees” (jeansforrefugees.com) is a global initiative dedicated to helping refugees worldwide. More than 100 international celebrities have donated a pair of their denims to Dar, who transforms each pair into a unique wearable piece of art inspired by the celebrity who donated them.
