Soleil Moon Frye lost 40 pounds following son Lyric's birth last year.
The 38-year-old actress detailed her weight loss in an interview with People this week. Frye and husband Jason Goldberg welcomed Lyric, their third child, in February 2014, and the star told the magazine she shed the pounds using Nutrisystem.
"This is my best version of me," she declared of her new body. "I had the baby, and I was waiting for it to start coming off. The frustrating thing for me was that one day I would lose a pound, but the next day I'd be back up two pounds. I needed help kicking it into gear."
Frye said a friend introduced her to Nutrisystem, and described the program as "about making smart choices" in order "to sustain" weight loss without deprivation. The actress started the regimen in May 2014, and was thrilled when she was able to fit into her "rock and roll leather pants."
"I really want my girls to have a healthy image to look at," she said of daughters Poet and Jagger. "I don't want to be the mom that's like, 'I can't have any ice cream.' So the girls eat their ice cream sandwiches and I eat my Nutrisystem ice cream sandwiches. It's been fun!"
