The Art of Flame, a unique and calming presentation utilizing two of nature’s most prevalent elements provides a natural extension into body treatments at Alvadora Spa at Royal Palms Resort and Spa. The Solstice Massage, available at the Alvadora Spa from now, will blend fire and water augmented by the use of coconut oil. The Twilight Solstice Massage will rejuvenate and nurture the body with the use of this warmed oil. Application of the oil will utilize the “Art of Flame” concept. This elegant and decorative fire with a floating wick system complements the serenity and calming influence of the massage. Delicately brushed onto the skin, coconut oil has the same PH and molecular structure of the natural oils produced by human skin. An effective moisturizer, coconut oil’s richness and natural antioxidants also prevent the formation of free radicals which can damage the skin, causing premature aging and wrinkles. Additionally, an essential oil blend featuring orange, clove, and vanilla will permeate the massage room and accentuate the essence of tranquility. The Twilight Solstice Massage, which includes a scalp treatment, is 90 minutes in length. “The Art of Flame” is a clean burn and eco-friendly artistic vessel that truly enhances the overall moisturizing and massage experience at Alvadora Spa. We are one of a select few spas in the United States that are currently utilizing “The Art of Flame” experience,” said Katie Pederson, Alvadora Spa Director. Additional products and services using the “Art of Flame” concept include a Twilight Solstice Facial and Twilight Solstice body treatment. All solstice services are 90 minutes in length. The Twilight Solstice treatments will be available at the Alvadora Spa at Royal Palms Resort from now through May 2012. For the summer months, a Sunrise Solstice program will deliver cooling and refreshing ingredients.
