Archipelago International is accelerating the roll-out of its Hotel NEO brand across Indonesia, with the addition of five new properties in Bali. The company launched the new lower-midscale brand in Bali in April this year, with the opening of the NEO Kuta Jelantik, and it has since rolled out the NEO concept to six other Indonesian locations, including Jakarta and Semarang. And now, Archipelago will continue the brand’s rapid expansion with the launch of five new hotels in the Tuban, Legian, Seminyak and Denpasar areas of Bali. “We plan to open another five new NEO Hotels in Bali so that everyone can experience these chic and affordable hotels,” said Norbert Vas, Archipelago’s vice president of sales & marketing. “As a breakthrough hotel designed for living, we will continue to expand the innovative hotel brand across the archipelago.” While Archipelago markets the NEO brand as ranging between 2.5 and three stars, in reality the hotels are all brand new and offer modern and often upscale facilities. These include LCD TVs, high-speed internet connection and DVD players in the rooms, and often swimming pools, restaurants, fitness centres, business centres and meeting rooms. Aside from the five new Bali openings, Archipelago has a large pipeline of Hotel NEOs which are due to roll out across the country in the coming months and years. New destinations for the brand will include Medan, Yogyakarta, Solo, Bandung and Makassar, and the brand is also planning further expansion in Jakarta. Source: Travel Daily
