Starwood decided to convert a Four Points by Sheraton in Tucson, Ariz., which it owns, to its Aloft brand, after a complete renovation. The 150-room hotel is slated to reopen in the first half of 2013 as the Aloft Tucson University, signaling its proximity to the nearby University of Arizona campus. The move marks only the second conversion project for the three-year-old Aloft brand, whose lifestyle properties are mostly newbuilds.
