Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation announced that 2848 encroachments were removed from the banks of the Nile River from a total of 50,339 violations.
This comes as part of a national campaign to save the Nile River launched by Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab and Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation on January 5.
