A total of 29 persons were hit by heat exhaustion due to the heat wave that stroke Egypt on Saturday, Health Ministry said on Sunday.

No fatalities were reported, the ministry further said.

In a press release, Health Ministry said the injured people were admitted to a number of hospitals in Cairo, Giza, Dakahlia, Damietta, Red Sea, Minya, Assuit, Sohag, Luxor and Qena.
