Director General of the Environment Public Authority Dr. Salah Al-Medhi said Wednesday success of the camps' removal campaign gives the authority greater incentives to pursue the action against random camping. The campaign will be carried on in a manner that will not affect the environment, that will preserve safety of citizens and vital projects' security, he said, The inspection team removed, yesterday, 140 camps including 450 tents and 300 shacks, Al-Medhi told KUNA. He added the inspection team will re-survey the area where the camps were removed to ensure work completion. The inspectors reported increasing voluntary tents' dismantling by campers, he said, indicating that this would speed up the process that might conclude by the week-end in the areas close to the vital oil projects.
