Around 300 delegates will meet to discuss energy efficiency at conference held in next week. The Energy Savers UAE 2012, to be held on October 2, is aimed at strengthening energy efficiency awareness. The full-day event will be held at the JW Marriott Hotel, Dubai, with the planned participation of more than 300 delegates from the public and private sectors. Organised by TPS Management Consultants, the event is the latest addition to efforts to strengthen the energy landscape in the region. Debates on legislation, standards and applications as well as the challenges faced by the sector will be discussed. Industry experts will provide an overview on the innovations, latest technologies and share best practices, which will help in raising awareness on the need to promote energy savings and ultimately aimed at reducing the energy bills for consumers and burden to the Grid. Mohammad Saleh Badri, Director General of Emirates Authority for Standardisation and Metrology (ESMA), will present the keynote address. Representatives from local and international organisations such as Siemens, Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council, LG, AESG, Energy Management Services, Trane, United Nations Development Programme and leading Consultants, will share their expertise on the subject.
