The strategy aims to provide 7 percent of Dubai's energy from clean sources by 2020, 25 percent by 2030 and 75 percent by 2050, to transform Dubai into a global hub for clean energy and the green economy, making Dubai the city with the lowest carbon footprint in the world.
The parties emphasised the importance of cooperation and exchange of experiences between DEWA and Egyptian organisations in the energy sector, stressing the distinguished relations between the two sides.
The Egyptian delegation commended DEWA’s efforts to strengthen Dubai's position and its global leadership in various fields of energy, and expressed its interest in participating in DEWA projects.
