An earthquake Thursday night shook Egypt and was felt in Alexandria and parts of Cairo, the country's National Seismic Network reported. The epicenter of the 4.6 magnitude temblor was 6.4 miles beneath the Mediterranean about 105 miles from Borg al-Arab City, said Hatem Awda, the head of the National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics. The Middle East News Agency said there were not reports of casualties or damage.
