Saudi Ministry of Electricity Undersecretary Dr Saleh Al-Awaji revealed on Sunday that Egypt and Arabia power grid project will be offered for bidding in late November.
In statements to the Saudi "Al-Iqtisadiya" newspaper out on Sunday, the Saudi official said the project was put out to tender after the feasibility studies were finalized.
He said a different technique will be used in this project for the first time with the use of direct current instead of the alternative one.
The project will be carried out within a period not exceeding three years, he added.
