Environment Minister Khaled Fahmy announced the rules and conditions on the use of coal and petroleum coke in cement industries and electricity generation stations under the amended executive regulation of the environment law.

The set conditions have been published in the official gazette after they were approved by the prime minister.

The rules address the annual quantity of used coal, its storage, transport and unloading conditions, Fahmy told MENA.
