The Supreme Council for the River Nile Protection held a meeting Sunday, under Prime Minister Hisham Qandil, in the presence of a host of ministers. The meeting tackled progress made so far to implement the recommendations of the 13th meeting of the technical secretariat of the Supreme Council for the Nile River Protection, which took place on December 25, 2012. The meeting also discussed the measures taken to protect the Nile River from pollution. Qandil, meanwhile, said that polluting the Nile River is a red line, as it is the lifeline of the country.
