As part of EWA\'s initiative to boost the culture of saving electricity and water, and to follow optimum methods to help save water resources and electric power according to highest international standards for this purpose, the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) has distributed to more than 100 technical offices a series of leaflets and instructional drawings on optimum methods and international practices of construction and architectural design. EWA\'s directorate of electricity and water saving urged homeowners and contractors to take care when implementing designs, using thermal insulation materials and techniques for walls, ceilings and windows in buildings, installations and residential units in order to reduce power consumption and provide more comfort to tenants. The technical offices thanked EWA for this step which helps boost the culture of saving and increase awareness of the significance of following instructions and rectification of erroneous behaviors which lead to attrition and waste of resources and national wealth. EWA also distributed a number of awareness drawings to municipal councils and governorates in order to inform the public on ways to boost the culture of saving. EWA gives utmost priority to its constant constructive and fruitful cooperation with the Ministry of Municipalities and Urban Planning and has taken advanced stages in mutual coordination on enforcement of rules and regulations which help save electric power and water resources.
