Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources Hossam Moghazi will lead Egyptian delegation to the "High-level International Conference on the Implementation of the International Decade for Action (Water for Life)", which will take place on June 9-11 in Dushanbe.

For its part, the Arab League (AL) said that it will delegate Shohreh Kasaei, Head of the Arab Water Studies and Water Security Center, to represent the pan-Arab body.

The conference would be inaugurated by Tajikistani President Emomali Rahmon and UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.

This international gathering shows the great attention paid by the UN agencies and the international community to set goals of sustainable development including, the importance of providing clean drinking water and sanitation services for all and promoting sustainable management of water resources, Tajikistani embassy in Cairo said in a statement.
