H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum visited Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, DEWA’s, platform on the second day of the GITEX Technology Week 2017.
Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, welcomed Sheikh Mansour and briefed him on DEWA’s latest services, initiatives, and smart solutions, which contribute to making Dubai the best city in the provision of smart, innovative, and world-class services that meet the needs of all people and help them achieve happiness.
Al Tayer further explained to Sheikh Mansour the Blockchain for the Green Charger initiative. It helps customers and service providers by facilitating the registration of electric vehicles, providing safer-quality transactions, and locating electric charging stations with precise information on availability.
He also briefed Sheikh Mansour on the Future Centre for Customer Happiness, which relies on Artificial Intelligence Robots, and includes smart-payment platforms, as well as DEWA’s updated smart application, Rammas, and the helmet and smart glasses, DAQRI, which is based on enhanced reality technology. It helps engineers working in energy-production stations to complete their tasks. It is also useful for 3D-Printing for the development of spare parts and for improved maintenance and operations.
"DEWA follows a clear and integrated approach based on innovation and is looking ahead to keep pace with all government initiatives and to achieve happiness for all. Our efforts are in line with modern and life-changing services that exceed expectations with the Smart Dubai initiative, which seeks to harness technology and provide people with the ability to communicate with DEWA, easily and directly," Al Tayer added.
