A mild earthquake measuring 2.4 on the Richter scale has hit the province of Qafsa in southern Tunisia. A statement issued today by the National Institute of Meteorology in Tunisia said its earthquake monitoring stations registered the quake at 09:46 last night, adding that residents felt the tremor but no casualties were so far reported.
