The Ministry of Environment and Water has announced that it has lifted the ban on live cow imports from Spain. The resolution was issued by Dr Rashid Ahmad Bin Fahd, Minister of Environment and Water, following the recommendation made during the 29th meeting of the GCC’s Permanent Committee for Animal Resources held in Saudi Arabia in March. The resolution stipulates that prior approval must be attained from the ministry before live cows are exported. The shipment must also contain veterinary certificates from the relevant Spanish governmental bodies. From : Gulfnews
