Qatari engineer Adnan Fahad Rashid Fahad Al-Ramzani has designed a device that produces water from moisture lingering in the air, and generates its own electricity from the sun and wind. The device produces cold semi-dry air, which can be used for cooling in several locations such as stadiums, gyms, labor housing and greenhouses in farms. The invention has been registered at the GCC Patent Office in the organization’s general secretariat in Riyadh. The invention will be officially unveiled in an inauguration ceremony at La Cigale Hotel on October 13, Al-Ramzani told QNA, adding that a film about the patent will be screened, and special lectures about the environment and water will be given to promote the preservation of nature. References, posters and brochures with valuable themes on the water crisis in the State of Qatar, GCC countries, the Middle East, the Arab world and some countries of the world will be shown too during the event in order to explain the new device, Al-Ramzani said.
