Khartoum - MENA
Sudanese Foreign Minister Ali Karti hailed the agreement reached with Egypt and Ethiopia on sharing Nile water along with the renaissance dam as a new path in relations of the three countries.
Speaking at a joint press conference early Friday, Karti said the document will be submitted to the heads of the three states for approval.
The leaders of the three countries decided to add a new political element to the negotiations, making the foreign ministers part of the file which helped in overcoming many details, Karti said.
The talks, which started in Khartoum on Tuesday, focused on the sharing of the Nile river water between the countries and resolving a dispute over a hydroelectric dam being built by Addis Ababa.
