The ports of Adabia, Zitiat and Port Tawfik in Suez governorate were shut down due to bad weather, the authority which runs the harbors said on Sunday.

The decision aimed to guarantee the safety of passengers and ships, Spokesman for the Red Sea Ports Authority Abdel Rehim Mostafa said.

The ports will be reopened once weather conditions improve, he added.
