(SCE), has received a recognition certificate.

The Supreme Council for the Environment (SCE), has received a recognition certificate, along with three other government entities which have been accredited by the “Thiqa” (trust) Initiative aiming at enhancing information technology security governance.

The “Thiqa” Initiative was adopted by the Supreme Council for Information and Communication Technology, under the chairmanship of HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa.

SCE’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Mohammed Mubarak bin Daina, was granted the accreditation certificate from the Information and e-Government Authority, which proves that the SCE was among the first government entities to pass the first phase of the “Thiqa” programme successfully.

The Royal Charity Organisation (RCO), the Transportation and Telecommunications Ministry and the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) were also honoured during the ceremong held on Thursday, under the patronage of the CEO of the Information and e-Government Authority, Mohammed Ali Al-Qaed.

Bin Daina commended the efforts exerted by the officials of the e-Government Portal at the Information and e-Government Authority, led by Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa, iGA deputy chairman, lauding their landmark achievements which, he said, have made Bahrain a role model for ICT and cyber-security.
