Heavy rains in Egypt

Heavy rains continued on Thursday to hit Beheira governorate for the third straight day.

Water swept streets causing streets to be almost empty. Heavy rains caused outage in some towns and villages.

Rashid port was closed and intensive security campaigns was launched on roads to secure cars and warn drivers against exceeding their speed in view of torrential rains.

Eight people died in Beheira's Afona village as a result of torrential rains, while three others died in Abu Hems and Rahmaniya villages as a result of electric shocks.
