A 5.8-magnitude earthquake hit Taiwan region, according to the preliminary measurement by the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The epicenter was monitored at 22.78 degrees north latitude and 121.24 degrees east longitude, Xinhua News Agency reported.
