Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy said five electric transmission powers in Cairo and Delta were sabotaged early Monday.
Chairman of the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company said a 220 kilovolt power tower was attacked on Hadhaba/Moatamadiya line and another one on West Cairo line.
Three legs of a power tower on West Cairo line were bombed, while security troops are currently working on defusing a fourth bomb.
Two other towers on Cairo-Giza and Menuf/Bassous lines were also damaged.
