Cairo - MENA
Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab inaugurated Tuesday a 650-MW power plant in Ataka neighborhood, Suez as a part of an urgent plan to face shortage of electricity production.
German electrical equipment manufacturer Siemens built the plant in collaboration with its local partner Elsewedy Power System Projects (PSP).
During a video-conference inaugural ceremony, Mahlab hailed efforts exerted by more than 1,500 people to deliver the project before its deadline.
The ceremony was attended by ministers and officials from both companies to switch on the plant.
