The cabinet, during a meeting on Wednesday, approved a proposal to amend some provisions of the Penal Code articles pertaining to sabotage of oil facilities.
The amendments include the destruction and sabotage of oil pipelines, gas and oil facilities and water lines.
‏Egypt has witnessed frequent oil pipeline blasts and attacks on oil facilities.
