Seoul - Yonhap
A glitch in a mechanism made to initiate an automatic shutdown in the case of earthquakes is believed to have caused the recent shutdown of a nuclear plant in the country's southwest region, a plant operator said Sunday. The 950,000-kW Hanbit No. 2 Reactor halted operation at about 10:50 a.m. on Friday, 101 days after it had restarted after previous mechanical problems.
